“And if Christ has not been raised, our preaching is useless and so is your faith.” 1 Corinthians 15:14

5 facts about the resurrection virtually every scholar agrees upon:

  1. Jesus died by crucifixion under Pontius Pilate. 
  2. Very soon afterwards, his followers had real experiences that they thought were actual appearances of the risen Jesus. 
  3. His followers' lives were transformed as a result, and they died because of their faith in the resurrection. 
  4. Skeptics and enemies of Jesus were converted after he rose. 
  5. The tomb was found empty.
