Habit Audit
The goal of a habit audit is to examine and reflect on what our current habits and practices are doing to us.
AW Tozer said that if we want to discover who we are, we should pay attention to the following things:
- What we want most
- What we think about most
- How we use our money
- What we do with our leisure time
- The company we enjoy
- Who and what we admire
- What we laugh at
Take some time to write down and track what you are doing each day and how long you're doing it for.
For example:
15 minutes reading the news
15 minutes coffee and breakfast
1 hour working out
10 minutes driving to work
6 hours working
2 hours social media
30 minutes of online shopping ($50 spent)
2 hours watching TV

See if you can make the connection between what you do and what it's doing to your soul. Use these questions to help you reflect:
- How am I beginning and ending my days? Are those practices allowing me to experience God and draw near to him?
- What do my current habits reveal about what is most important to me?
- What is my relationship with technology like? How is my input determining my output?
- What has been shaping me without me even realizing?
- Are the things that I dedicate my time, energy, and money to leading me closer to Jesus?
- In what ways might God be inviting me to change my daily habits?
